Newfoundland born, Toronto-based singer-songwriter Brad Fillatre has been working hard in the studio this year creating his sophomoric solo effort “Strangers”, the follow-up to his 2012 EP “For Your Weakness“. Once again Brad worked with Adam Ferri at Orchard Studios in Huttonville, Ontario. By drawing on a vast and eclectic collection of musical tastes and from influences that include Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Ryan Adams, Fillatre blends folk/pop with east coast traditional sounds creating a unique blend of his own. Many of Brad’s songs have appeared in several MTV produced shows including Jersey Shore, Catfish, Scrubbing In, Teen Mom 2 and 16 and Pregnant.

His new album is set to be released through Sparks Music/Universal Music Canada in early 2016.

In the spring of this year, Montreal singer/songwriter JF Robitaille returned to Ontario’s House of Miracles to record his new album. It was here that he created his critically acclaimed album “Rival Hearts” in 2013. HOM is the studio that birthed seminal releases from the Hidden Cameras and Royal City to name a few.

JF’s new yet untitled project was produced once again by Andy Magoffin (The Constantines, Great Lake Swimmers) and sees the return of drummer Marshall Bureau (Jim Guthrie), bassist Tavo Diez de Bonilla (Jenn Grant) and multi-instrumentalist J.J. Ipsen (Octoberman). Guest vocal contributors include Raven Shields and Julie Doiron [Eric’s Trip]. Additional guitar work was added by renowned Toronto session player Justin Abedin.

The new album is currently being mixed and is set to be released on February 12, 2016 via Sparks/Universal Music Canada.
