Ready Records & Sparks Music are proud to release the Spoons’ debut album, “Stick Figure Neighbourhood”. This historic album is now available for the first time on CD and digital download format. The album will also be available in it’s original vinyl format very soon. For this special release, we are also offering a Mastered for iTunes version, available exclusively on iTunes.

Here is an excerpt from Gord Deppe’s new liner notes which appear on the 2013 version of “Stick Figure Neighbourhood”.

“We’d heard about a great little place in Hamilton called Grant Avenue Studios. Legendary producer Brian Eno had worked there with an up and coming engineer and owner of the studio, on some high profile ambient recordings. That young, soon to be very much in demand engineer was Daniel Lanois. He was already, I’m sure, mentally rubbing elbows with Bono and U2. But For the time being he decided to help a bunch of kids from Burlington, Ontario, make their first album and set their course on a long and adventurous journey.” Gord Deppe, May 2013
