JF Robitaille would normally be on stage in clubs and small theatres but over the next week he will be performing in Montreal at the November 23rd book launch for CBC Radio’s Grant Lawrence and just a few days later (November 28) will play a few songs at the Galerie Samuel Lallouz during an exhibit for Toronto artist and photographer Janieta Eyre. JF’s latest video “Black and White” will also be screened at the event. The video incorporates black and white self portraits of Janieta which makes for a striking collage as a backdrop to Robitaille’s performance.

Grant Lawrence hand-picked JF Robitaille to perform at his book launch and reading which happens this Saturday in downtown Montreal at the Drawn and Quarterly book store. The new book “The Lonely End of the Rink: Confessions of a Reluctant Goalie“, is all about his highly conflicted relationship with Canada’s sporting pastime, and as he says “eventually finding my way to the game through rock ‘n’ roll.”

Sparks Music will be launching Robitaille’s 2nd single and fourth video “Saint Catherine” in January 2014.
