Papermaps‘ new video “Shadow Theatre” premiered on the Indie 88.1 website, Toronto’s new alternative radio station today ! This video marks the directorial debut of acclaimed photographer Daniel Ehrenworth. Through distorted lenses, decomposing videotape, and discarded old film he tells an interwoven story of past lives, performing birds, and a naked lady bound to a staircase.

Shadow Theatre is taken from the band’s full length release, ‘Darker Lights”, available on iTunes, in stores and from the band’s website.

What do Vancouver, Aloe Blacc, Ellen DeGeneres, Juno Awards, Beats Music and the Super Bowl have in common?

It’s been a busy start to 2014 for Vancouver artist/producer Chin Injeti. First off, the launch of his new single/video, “On the Run” on January 28, plus the fact that his new solo album entitled, The Reverb, is slated for a late spring release through Sparks Music/Universal Music Canada.

Chin also scored big at this year’s Super Bowl XLVIII on February 2nd with his participation in the brand new Beats Music commercial featuring comedian and television star Ellen DeGeneres playing the part of Goldilocks and trying to find “The Right Music.” Turns out the right music is Aloe Blacc’s “Can You Do This” co-written and produced by Chin along with DJ Khalil. The song is from Aloe’s Wake Me Up EP and his upcoming Lift Your Spirit album.

Chin Injeti also collaboratedc on Eminem’s MMLP 2 and P!nk’s The Truth About Love which were both nominated for International Album of the Year at this years Juno Awards celebration on March 30th. Get all the Juno Award nomination details at www.junoawards.ca

Chin Injeti and his production and writing partner DJ Khalil have been spending some time in and out of the studio in L.A. with Aloe Blacc over the last few months.

One of the results is a song called “Can You Do This” which soon became the audio track in one of the Beats Music television spots. The Ellen DeGeneres Super Bowl commercial for Beats Music features the song by Aloe Blacc which was co-written and co-produced by Chin Injeti and DJ Khalil.

Chin Injeti releases his first single today from his upcoming new album “The Reverb”. The digital release for the track “On the Run” includes three mixes plus the original album version. You can purchase on iTunes or stream it online via your favourite music streaming service like Rdio or other streaming service.

The three remixers include legendary U.S. producer/remixer Brian Morgan who has worked with the likes of Usher, Faith Evans, Mariah Carey and SWV, Vancouver dance/pop outfit DiRTY RADiO and Montreal composer/producer Reagan Grey [Girls-On-Synths].
