Spoons deliver another video this time for the song “New Day New World” from their new album of the same name. Cameos including Ed the Sock, Michael Williams (MuchMusic), Earl Jive,  Mick Score from Flock of Seagulls, Alan Frew (Glass Tiger), Wang Chung, Corey Hart, Curtis Joseph, Richard Crouse and more!

Their message of hope to all continues with yet again a clear and heartfelt message to our front line heroes.

Canadian new wave favourites The Spoons pay homage to the front line heroes of the Covid-19 pandemic with a new video for their track “Landing Lights”. Video’s text, production and direction by Peter Sacco.

“We wanted to create a video that reaches out to all of the healthcare workers during this scary time,” says frontman Gordon Deppe. “We wanted to thank them, and let them know how grateful we — and the world are — for risking their lives every day for us. This video also goes out to those who are fighting for their lives, have lost their lives, and — of course — those ‘staying home’ to save many lives.” The track is featured on The Spoons’ most recent album, New Day New World — the group’s first in eight years.

Spoons just announced a handful of Western Canadian dates with the Flock Of Seagulls & Men Without Hats! Then head back East for a few shows in Ontario only to head out West again in the fall for festival dates.

During a co-headline tour in 2016, JF Robitaille (Canada) and Lail Arad (UK) found their duets increasingly in demand.

Excited by the reactions, a collaboration emerged between the two songwriters and snowballed in a way they could not have predicted. The success of their debut singles opened new doors and the pair embarked on numerous tours, playing over 100 shows and festivals together, from Italy to India.

Fresh back from recording their new album in Italy, they greatly look forward to their second candle-lit performance at The Coronet Theatre, sharing new songs and old favourites. Book your tickets, click here.
